The In-line Conveyors are manufactured in Modular Sections to accommodate the unique KHK Modular Belt. The combination of these two components allows for easy modifications to conveying plants through extending or reducing the amount of conveyors required. In order to supply complete conveyor systems on short delivery, standard conveyor frames are available for belt widths up to 600mm and in unit lengths of up to 3000mm. They are constructed from 3mm steel sheets, which provide a solid support deck for the carrying strand of the belt. The frames can also be supplied in different designs if required.
The In-line Conveyors are offered in mild and stainless steel with either chain or direct drive, depending on application. Suitable legs with height adjustable feet are supplied for fixed conveyors, while non-fixed conveyors can be fitted with castors to allow for easy movement. The conveyors are suitable for a wide range of applications, from bulk to unit goods handling. Speed and load determine whether the belt will run on either steel or a roller base. The small drive pulley PCD of only 97.5Ø allows for a close up linking of conveyors which are suitable for the transfer of small products. Due to the drive sprockets on both drive and idler pulley, a positive drive even in reversing conveyor applications is achieved. It also inhibits side movement of the belt and thus makes it impossible for a side breakage of the belt.
Pallet Conveyors can be manufactured using standard pallet rollers or using the KHK Modular Belt to convey any type of pallet. Due to the smooth top surface of the Modular Belt, accumulation conveyors or tables can easily be constructed. Modular Belts running next to each other in opposing directions make for a simple design of first in-first out or product rotation and product selection by means of diverting conveyors. The Conveyors and KHK Modular Belts have proven themselves for over 30 years in 24 hour production industries like cement plants, where they require a minimum in maintenance and are user friendly.
